ADVANCING PROTECTED AREA MANAGEMENT IN ARMENIA THROUGH THE EUROPARC NETWORK MEMBERSHIP

Protected areas play a critical role in conserving biodiversity while supporting resilient communities, sustainable local economies and climate action. This side event will introduce the EUROPARC Federation and explore how its network can contribute to strengthening protected area management in Armenia.

The event will highlight Dilijan National Park’s experience, current challenges and opportunities for cooperation, and will discuss how EUROPARC membership can facilitate peer learning, professional capacity development, international partnerships and access to European experience and initiatives. The session will also provide an opportunity to identify practical areas for future cooperation between Dilijan National Park and EUROPARC members.
