The assessment of forest landscape restoration opportunities was designed to identify and prioritize effective restoration interventions, based on ecological conditions and land use characteristics. The process focused on determining suitable areas for restoration and proposing targeted, site-specific solutions to enhance ecosystem functionality and resilience.

Key activities and achievements include:

• Feasibility study of restoration:
Evaluation of ecological, technical, and socio-economic aspects to determine the viability and potential impact of different restoration approaches.

• Mapping of restoration opportunities:
Identification and spatial analysis of priority areas suitable for restoration, based on land degradation levels, environmental conditions, and restoration potential.

• Field verification of selected sites:
On-site assessments conducted to validate mapped data, confirm site conditions, and refine restoration priorities.

• Development of restoration strategy:
Preparation of a comprehensive strategy outlining recommended interventions, implementation approaches, and long-term management considerations.

As a result, the assessment provides a solid foundation for informed decision-making, enabling targeted restoration actions that support biodiversity recovery, sustainable land use, and climate resilience.
