Within the framework of the program, a dedicated working group composed of four experts was established to support policy development and promote sustainable practices in key environmental sectors. The group focused on aligning international experience with national priorities while ensuring stakeholder engagement and policy coherence.

Key activities and achievements include:

• Review of international best practices:
Comprehensive analysis of global experience in urban greening, energy efficiency, energy conservation, and sustainable household waste management to identify applicable and effective approaches.

• Development of legislative proposals:
Preparation of a package of draft legal and regulatory amendments aimed at strengthening policy frameworks and improving performance in the targeted sectors.

• Stakeholder consultations and coordination:
Engagement with relevant partner institutions and stakeholders to ensure alignment between proposed measures, national policies, and project outcomes.

• Promotion of integrated and sustainable approaches:
Ensuring that recommendations reflect cross-sectoral linkages and support long-term environmental sustainability and resource efficiency.

As a result, the initiative contributed to the development of more coherent and forward-looking policy proposals, supporting the advancement of sustainable urban and environmental management practices.
